Introducing the JHM 4.2L FSI 32v V8 Lightweight Crank Pulley for the B8-S5!!!
Our Lightweight Pulley is perfectly counterbalanced like stock for proper engine balancing AND it drops 5 pounds of rotating mass in the process. The pulleys are anodized BLACK so they look stock and blend in. This design has been proven on the Audi V8 on hundreds of cars since 2009.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT:
Reducing the rotating mass of parts in or attached to the engine free up horsepower. This modification will not provide you with a drastic increase in power but it is a great piece of the naturally aspirated V8 power puzzle when coupled with our other bolt on upgrades. If you’re looking for some feedback on these units, feel free to search any of the online Audi forums, specifically in the B6-B7 S4 sections where we have had many customers run these units for years!
INSTALLATION NOTES:
When installing this pulley it is a great time to replace your drive belt. We sell these as well here in this section. It is important that you notice how tight your stock belt is prior to removal to gain access to the pulley. If you do not tighten it at least as tight as the stock belt was it will slip and squeal. Also note that one bolt hole has a dowel in the stock pulley and must be removed and inserted into the JHM pulley. Then the JHM Lightweight Pulley can only go on one way. Torque all bolts to 20 ft lbs in a star pattern. We also recommend using Loctite.
